Title Description Convenors
GeoHeritage: global case studies and success stories This session provides an opportunity for highlighting and presenting successful examples in geoheritage efforts by the global geoscience community. Contributors are invited to showcase their own experiences through case study examples to illustrate successful efforts in community engagement, fund raising, local and regional cooperation, economic returns and gains, conservation, preservation, partnerships, collaboration, geopark identification, research opportunities, public education and so on. Each contribution should focus on a unique aspect of the contributor's geoheritage work that may prove useful to explain to other geoscientists who may be faced with similar challenges. This session will provide a wide platform for a variety of key issues surrounding geoheritage efforts now addressed by the geoscientific discipline.
