Meteorite Impact Studies
This symposium focuses on impact craters and cratering processes on Earth and across the solar system. The study of terrestrial impact craters provides the only direct data on the cratering process, as well as ground-truth for the remote sensing interpretation of planetary craters. Planetary craters provide remote data across a much greater range of scales than terrestrial craters. Contributions regarding shock processes, materials, modeling, geologic structure, impactor evolution, and airburst phenomena are welcome.
