| Regolith, paleoweathering and continental surface dynamics: from landscape to the global perspective | The symposium welcomes contributions on lateritic weathering, regolith production / remobilization and landform evolution processes at all spatial and time scales. An emphasis will be put on the surface evolution of Africa, South America, Australia and India and contributions from other areas are welcome. The symposium aims at gathering academics and exploration geologists from all research fields. Methods and topics include, but are not restricted to, petrology and geochemistry of weathering, geochronology, geomorphology, exploration, mineral resources, erosion budgets, geodynamics, global correlations, climate change, basin analysis and source-to-sink studies. Syntheses and interdisciplinary studies are welcome. An objective of the symposium is to favor the emergence of new research directions in regolith science both from a geodynamic and an economic perspective. | Dominique Chardon |
