Described as an “intermediate” course on geostatistics, this workshop uses case studies to illustrate the use of geostatistical methods in a variety of applications.
Using little or no mathematics, Isobel Clark discusses case studies involving interpretation of every-day questions, such as:
And many more!
Course content is tailored to the audience. Come along and bring your questions, concerns, criticisms and contributions to the discussion!
Morning session:
Presentation of an apparently straight-forward geostatistical resource evaluation step-by-step from basic assumptions to final estimation methods. Actual case studies will be chosen depending on the interests of the participants.
Afternoon session:
Based on questions and discussions raised in the morning session, case studies of real situations will be used to illustrate practical concerns in the application of geostatistical methods.
Participants will receive a USB containing copies of power-point presentations and articles of interest.
